The stars of the area are:

Red Kites  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_kite

Fallow Deer, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallow_deer

And of course, Roe Deer, Red Deer and Muntjac.

The easiest thing to do is just to go for a walk around the beautiful countryside in the vicinity and look out for some of the great wildlife there is in the area. Maidensgrove Common is a huge area of open grassland, (belonging to Stonor Park, but free access to the public for walking, kite fly ing & horse riding, Just about anything that doesn’t involve an engine. In the autumn, bring a bag to collect sloes, hips and haws and many other hedgerow fruit.

The whole area is criss-crossed with old sheep drover trails that are now restricted bridleways and great for walking or off road cycling.

About a mile away is the Warburg Nature Reserve, where you can see all manner of rare plants fungi, birds and animals.

And the original parish church of Bix at Bix Bottom, now a ruin.

Within a few miles of the shoes is Greys Court, a Tudor country house and gardens, now owned by the National trust. Well worth stopping on your way home for a stroll around.
