Our objective is to offer a really interesting and even challenging menu, focused on local produce as much as possible. Almost everything is made in house from base ingredients. From mayonnaise to ice creams and even the ketchup. Our remaining challenge is to make all our own bread.
Our suppliers are small firms, game keepers and farmers in Oxfordshire and Berkshire (except the fish of course which comes from Cornwall) and game and “wild food” that we either forage ourselves or barter with our neighbours. We specially love to offer venison, rabbit and wood pigeon. Guaranteed free range, organic, humane and cholesterol free!
Our menu changes on an almost daily basis, according to what our suppliers bring us and what is in season.
On Sundays we offer a slightly reduced version of our full a la carte menu, with a traditional Sunday roast Click here for an example.
We dont believe in childrens menus, we think that our kids should eat the same as us, so we do anything on the menu at half size, half price.

2 courses for £11.95 or 3 courses for £14.95
We also offer a special 7 course tasting menu on Friday and Saturday evenings. This is Duncan´s selection of the best we have to offer from our full menu in small portions, with 3 glasses of specially selected wines to compliment the food. (£45.00) The selection is decided on the day, and is only available for a whole table.
